Keeping my commentary short and sweet (in a Joan Rivers kind-of-way)...
The HITS:
Maggie Gyllenhaal in Roland Mouret
Red carpet perfection!
Cameron Diaz in Alexander McQueen
Sexy but not too vixen ;)
Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace
This dress belongs in the Fashion Hall of Fame.
Rose Byrne, in Lanvin
You will never, ever go wrong with Lanvin... ever. Credit to Ms. Byrne's Hair and Makeup stylists for letting this plum number shine.
Emily Blunt in Dolce & Gabbana
Emily and her fashion partners in crime (D&G) KILLED the red carpet!
Christina Aguilera in Versace
When you find a dress that is an extension of your own personality, you will never lose. This former bad girl turned mommy is working this gown!
The MISSES:
Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior
The color is too dark for this french beauty and unfortunately, the cut does not flatter her body type.
Kate Hudson in Marchesa
I get what Kate was going for... the dramatic pike at the top of this dress was in effort to give volume to her smaller cup size. Unfortunately, it falls too far away from her body and looks well silly.
Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace
If there were such a thing as a fancy sports bra, this is what it might look like. Jen Garner is simply too lean to wear this glittery garment.
Rita Wilson in... ?
Aren't Rita and Tom like, hollywood royalty?!? Someone from their camp needs to spring for a Stylist. Is she... wearing a purple... flower... in... her hair... to match... her... dress...?? oh no she di'int.
Nicole Kidman in Nina Ricci
like I said, Joan Rivers... So why does Nicole insist on wearing colors that make her disappear? Her poor MUA had to apply waaaaay too much blush just to keep her from looking like a corpse. (Yikes, I know.)
BORED ME TO TEARS:
Kate Winslet, in Yves Saint Laurent
Seen it.
Jennifer Aniston in Valentino
Over it.
