Wearable Spring Dresses

With warmer weather just around the corner (fingers crossed!), I am anxiously anticipating wearing some of the new spring styles in dress form for work and for play. What I won’t be wearing this spring, are dresses with too much sheen or just too much anything. Here are some examples that will easily carry you from day to night:

DIKITOS-A by Diesel

This little black number is chic but refreshingly casual. The faux bolero provides coverage for your upper arms and can also be paired with a colorful scarf or long chains for a more stylish nighttime look.

I absolutely adore this floral print dress – nothing says spring like roses in bloom. The strong cap sleeves can help balance out your frame (that is, if you’re not already top-heavy), and the bows in the back add a fun flair to this dress but can easily be covered with a boyfriend blazer for the office. Pair this dress with leggings and ankle booties for a covered up but sexy look.

Asymmetrical Tank Dress by Kain

I have become a die-hard fan of Kain’s ultra comfy tees, and now this bright orange tank dress will become my new spring/summer uniform for going almost anywhere. Paired with a cropped denim jacket or even a blue-tone sweater for evenings, this Kain dress is the perfect way to stay casually on trend. Orange is a rising trend but avoid of this gold-infused color if you have very light or peach skin tone.

Think you can’t wear strapless dresses to the office? Try wearing a tank or fitted t-shirt under this denim dress, with a blazer or longer sweater over top. Add tights, and voilĂ ! Even if you’re uncomfortable wearing form-fitting dresses, this one has its design details in all the right places to showcase a proportioned figure.

Happy Spring!
